BitMEX Employee Verification
Anti-impersonation tool to verify genuine BitMEX staff.

The Problem
Crypto users are constantly targeted by scammers impersonating exchange employees over Telegram, email, and social media. BitMEX needed a public, authoritative way for anyone to check whether a person claiming to be BitMEX staff is genuine.
What I Built
A verification page in the BitMEX app (React / Next.js) where a user checks a person's identity against BitMEX's source of truth and gets a clear genuine / not-genuine result — turning 'is this really BitMEX?' into a one-click check.

The problem
Crypto users are relentlessly targeted by scammers impersonating exchange staff on Telegram and email. BitMEX needed a public, authoritative way for anyone to verify whether a person claiming to be BitMEX staff was genuine.
What I built
A verification page inside the BitMEX app (React/Next.js) at bitmex.com/app/verification: pick the channel, enter the contact handle, and get a clear genuine / not-genuine answer against BitMEX's source of truth — one click instead of guesswork.
Why it matters
Anti-impersonation tooling is user-safety infrastructure: it cuts off a whole class of social-engineering attacks before money moves. It is also a study in trust UX — the answer has to be unambiguous, fast, and impossible to misread.
Outcomes
- ✓Public anti-impersonation defense against social-engineering scams
- ✓One-click employee-authenticity check for any user
- ✓Reduces phishing and impersonation risk for BitMEX customers
